Holy Spirit wins 4th-5th grade Quick Recall tourney

RecordLogo-FHoly Spirit School won the Catholic Schools Academic League (CSAL) fourth- and fifth-grade Quick Recall Tournament March 9 at St. Leonard School, 440 Zorn Avenue.

Sacred Heart Model School and Holy Spirit-red tied in regulation play 22-22 in one semi-final match, with Holy Spirit-red prevailing in overtime 5-3. St. Aloysius-blue defeated St. Agnes-black 23-21 in the other semi-final match.

In the championship match, Holy Spirit-red defeated St. Aloysius-blue in the final match 29-19.

Thirty-nine teams from 24 schools participated in the fourth- and fifth-grade league this season.
