Sacred Heart Academy’s swim team wins state championship

SHA-fSacred Heart Academy’s swim team won the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s (KHSAA) swimming and diving state championship at a competition held Feb. 23-25 at the University of Louisville’s Ralph Wright Natatorium.

Swimmer Brooke Forde set a state record in the 200-yard freestyle. Forde was also named outstanding meet competitor and the Midway University KHSAA Female Student Athlete of the Year.

This is Sacred Heart Academy’s fifth consecutive swimming championship, according to a statement from the school.
