Presentation will present alumnae awards at ‘Hats Off’ dinner

Two alumnae of Presentation Academy will receive awards at the school’s annual Hats Off Alumnae Dinner April 20 at the school’s Arts & Athletic Center, 900 S. Fourth Street, at 5:30 p.m.

Diane Becht Butler, a 1965 Presentation graduate, will receive the 2015 Alumna of the Year award. Butler, a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, has been involved in the school’s annual Tower Awards event, which honors female leaders, and has volunteered with the Parent Teacher Organization and phonathon fundraisers.

Dr. Hillary Jarrett, a 2004 Presentation graduate, will receive the inaugural Young Alumna Award. Jarrett was selected for her work in veterinary medicine and her commitment to “education, leadership, helping others and living out her faith,” a news release from the school said.

Tickets are $35 and attendees are encouraged to wear Derby hats. For more information and to register by April 4, contact Patti Peachey by phone at 583-5935 or by email ppeachey@presentationacademy.org.
