A two-session Communion Minister Formation program will be held for those preparing to serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion in their parishes. The program is also for those who are presently serving in this role but have not attended the program in the past.
Each two-hour session will include the theology of the Eucharist, liturgical ministry and the practical aspects of the role of the Communion minister. The formation program will fulfill the training portion of the canonical mandate required for Extraordinary Ministers. Program dates are:
Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Augustine Church in Lebanon, Ky.
Sept. 17 and 24 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Bernadette Church, 6500 Saint Bernadette Ave. in Prospect, Ky.
Nov. 11 and 18 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Raphael Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave.
Feb. 19 and 26 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 3926 Poplar Level Road.
