Maryland to Kentucky and Beyond, Inc., a new organization that aims to continue the tradition of the “Maryland to Kentucky” reunions is planning a gathering for June 27-29 at St. Catharine College in Springfield, Ky.
The reunion will bring together descendants of pioneers who travelled from Maryland to Kentucky beginning in the late 18th century, when the commonwealth was being settled.
A great many of those settlers were Catholics seeking religious freedom. But the reunion is open to people of all faiths who are tracing their genealogy. For more information, visit the organization’s website at https://sites.google.com/site/mdtoky3. The website also includes genealogy resources.
