Music ministry

St. Paul Church is now offering a new music ministry for students. The church’s Piano Lab allows multiple students to take lessons at the same time.
Each one hour session consists of a half hour of group instruction and a half hour of practice and individual instruction. Each student uses ear phones so only he or she and the instructor hears the piano. The cost per hour is $20 and is open to children and adults, both beginners and those with previous instruction.
Sessions will be scheduled after school and in the early evening. For more information, call Anthony Ransom at 381-1025.

Service trip

The Sacred Heart Academy freshman field hockey players traveled to Appalachia Nov. 8-10 to take part in a service trip in conjunction with Hand in Hand Ministries. The group repaired homes at three work sites in the region. A presenter talked to the girls about the difficulties families face in the area.
Emma Greenwood, a Sacred Heart freshman, proposed the idea for a service trip. Greenwood has been on three previous trips to Appalachia with Hand in Hand.
