Winners of the Catholic Schools Week essay, art contests named

The Catholic Education Foundation has selected the winners of its annual Catholic Schools Week poster and essay contests.

The winners of the art contest, listed by division, are:

In the kindergarten through second-grade division, Kaden Wancket, a second-grader at Notre Dame Academy; third- through fifth-grade, Ryan Britz, a third-grader at Notre Dame Academy; sixth- through eighth-grade, Molly Shean, a sixth-grader at Holy Trinity School.

The winner of the essay contest is Madelyn Steurer, a senior at Assumption High School.

Her essay and winning artwork will be published in the Jan. 28 Catholic Schools Week supplement. Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated in the Archdiocese of Louisville next week.
