Ursuline Sister Rosanna Dorn dies

OSU-obituaries-wUrsuline Sister of Louisville Rosanna Dorn died June 19 at Sacred Heart Home. She was 84 and had been a religious since 1951.

Sister Dorn, a native of Cumberland, Md., taught for 20 years — 1957 to 1977 — at schools in Kentucky, Indiana, Nebraska, Maryland and South Carolina. In the Archdiocese of Louisville, she taught at St. Francis of Assisi and St. Clement schools.

Sister Dorn then served in parish ministry and pastoral care in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland from 1988 to 2008.   

She is survived by her sister Josephine Mantheiy of Cumberland, her brother Joseph B. Dorn of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, nieces, nephews and her Ursuline Community.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 24 at 11 a.m. in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel, 3115 Lexington Road. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Ursuline Motherhouse on June 23 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m.
