Ursuline Sister Rosalin Thieneman, 96, dies

OSU-MSJ-Logo-2016Ursuline Sister of Mount St. Joseph Rosalin Thieneman, 96, died March 29 at Mount St. Joseph. She was in her 68th year of religious life.

Sister Thieneman served in a variety of roles at Brescia College (now University) from 1961-1988, including assistant registrar, dean of admissions and director of financial aid.

In her retirement she served in the Archdiocese of Louisville as pastoral counselor at St. Edward Church in Jeffersontown. She visited the sick in their homes, in hospitals and in nursing homes.

She is survived by one sister, Marita Eckhart of Louisville, a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Thieneman, a brother-in-law, Clarence Stuber, numerous nieces and nephews and members of her religious community.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated April 3 at Mount St. Joseph with burial in the Motherhouse Chapel.
