‘Truth, Justice and the Catholic Way’ youth rally planned on Aug. 17

archloulogo-w“Truth, Justice and The Catholic Way: A Jr. High Call to Action,” will take place Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Michael Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive.

The day-long event for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders will include a presentation by Jeff Wright, a local teacher and speaker who “connects life experience, science and faith,” said a press release from organizers.

The youth will also participate in games with religious brothers, sisters and priests. Parents are invited to help the young participants pack meals for Love the Hungry during a session from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The day will conclude with a panel discussion for the youth, a panel discussion for parents on technology and adolescent mental health and a Mass.

The cost of the rally is $20 per child. Registration is due by Aug. 7. For more information, contact Aaron Frazita at 266-5611 or afrazita@stmichaellouisville.org.
