Members of the basketball teams from Trinity High School and Sacred Heart Academy hosted “Shooting for the Stars,” a basketball camp for 30 special needs teens and adults who receive services at St. Mary’s Center. The event took place Oct. 29 in Trinity’s Steinhauser Gymnasium.

Participants were taught the fundamentals of basketball and took part in other activities.

St. Mary’s Center serves more than 150 teens and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Louisville metro and surrounding areas, according to the center’s website. Teens and adults are offered an array of activities that foster vocational, academic and socialization skills.
