The Office of Multicultural Ministry will offer Spanish for pastoral leaders

The Office of Multicultural Ministry is offering Spanish for pastoral leaders or anyone who wants to communicate with Spanish-speaking members of their faith community on topics related to formation. The topic areas covered will be the alphabet; how to pronounce certain words; key words and questions; examples of conversation; parish rectory or parish center dialogue; mass terminology; parish ministry; and religious education.

This class is designed for pastoral associates and administrators, parish staff, directors of religious education and anyone else who ministers to the Spanish-speaking community. No previous knowledge of Spanish is required for this class.

The classes will meet the five Tuesdays of October beginning Oct. 2 and concluding Oct. 30. They will be held at the Maloney Center, 1200 S. Shelby Street, from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost for the class and materials is $50. To register or for more information, call the Office of Multicultural Ministry at 636-0296. Deadline for registration is Sept. 26.
