St. Meinrad will offer Monte Cassino pilgrimages honoring Mary in May

St. Meinrad Archabbey in Southern Indiana will lead pilgrimages in honor of the Blessed Mother to the nearby Monte Cassino Shrine on May 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

The pilgrimages, set for 2 p.m. Central Time, will include hymns, a short sermon, a rosary procession and the litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The speakers and topics planned for each pilgrimage are:

May 1 — Benedictine Novice Joshua Leeuw will speak on “Mary, Mirror of Charity.”
May 8 — Benedictine Brother Peduru Fonseka will speak on “Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit.”
May 15 — Benedictine Father Meinrad Brune will speak about “Following Mary: The Marian Way for Everyone.”
May 22 — Benedictine Father Barnabas Gillespie will speak on “Mary’s Nurturing Love for Us.”
May 29 — Benedictine Brother Maurus Zoeller will speak about “Marian Shrines and Pilgrimages.”

The shrine is located one mile East of St. Meinrad on state highway 62 in St. Meinrad, Ind.
