St. Frances of Rome Church to celebrate 125th anniversary

St. Frances of Rome Church at 2119 Payne Street will celebrate it’s 125th anniversary on Sept. 23.

The anniversary will be celebrated with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. with Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz presiding. Following the Mass, a reception will be held at the Clifton Center which is adjacent to the church. The reception will feature a buffet-style lunch and cake.

The parish also will be honored on Oct. 28 with the placing of an historical marker at 1 p.m., following that day’s 11:30 a.m. Mass.
