St. Catharine College program receives two-year accreditation

The radiography program at St. Catharine College in Springfield, Ky., received word last month that a new bachelor’s degree program has been approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. The program received two-year accreditation from the committee.

According to a news release from the college, Dawn McNeil, chair of the radiography department, said the newly approved Bachelor of Science in radiography “offers a unique learning experience for St. Catharine College radiography students.”

“Our program offers a Bachelor of Science (degree) with three concentrations available,” she said, “and we separate didactic (classroom) from clinical (real-life setting) instruction.”

The program’s three areas of concentration are general, management and advanced modality, which focuses on CT scans or MRI scans.
