Sisters of Charity of Nazareth elect new leadership for Western province

SCNLogo2015The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth (SCN) have announced new leadership for their Western Province which includes SCNs, SCN associates and ministries in the U.S. and the country of Belize in Central America.

Sister Mary Elizabeth Millerhas been elected provincial. Sister Barbara Flores and Sister Sharon Gray will serve as vice-provincials.

Provincial-elect Sister Miller, served as president of the SCNs from 2008-2013 and as vice president from 1998-2003.

Sister Barbara Flores, a native of Belize, served as vice president of the SCNs from 2003-2008. She has served as president of Catholic education in Belize since 2010.

Sister Gray has served as an educator at Presentation Academy, the University of Wisconsin, the Claret Center and the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Sister Gray helped establish the Nazareth Retreat Center and has led this ministry since 2009.

The new Western provincial team will take office, today, June 1.
