Sister Teresa Catharine Sullivan dies at age 86 at Nazareth Home

Sister of Charity of Nazareth Teresa Catharine Sullivan, 86, a native of Ludlow, Ky., died Dec. 14 at Nazareth Home in Louisville. She had been an SCN for 66 years.

Sister Sullivan served in elementary education in Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and Louisiana for 48 years. In the Archdiocese of Louisville, Sister Sullivan served from 1991 to 1996 in elementary education as a part-time teacher at St. Aloysius School and in part-time after school child care at St. James School.

From 1996 to 2012, she volunteered at St. Joseph Children’s Home Child Development Center.

Survivors include two brothers, John L. Sullivan of Ludlow, and Joseph M. Sullivan of Edgewood, Ky.; two sisters, Sister of Charity of Nazareth Rose Sullivan of Nazareth, Ky., and Sister of St. Benedict Mary Dominic Sullivan of Covington, Ky.

The Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 18 at Nazareth Home, and burial was in Nazareth Cemetery, Nazareth, Ky. Memorial gifts may be made to the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Missions, P.O. Box 9, Nazareth, Ky., 40048.
