Sister of Charity of Nazareth Margaret Dillier, 95, dies

Sister of Charity of Nazareth Margaret Dillier, formerly Sister Mary Matthias, died May 23 at Nazareth Home. She was 95 and had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 70 years.

Sister Dillier, a native of Arkansas, served in ministries in the United States and Belize in Central America for 53 years. In the Archdiocese of Louisville, she served at St. Vincent Orphanage and St. Thomas-St. Vincent Orphanage. She also served in social work in West Louisville.

She is survived by her sister Marie Jones of Jonesboro, Ark.; brother Justin Dillier of Heber Springs, Ark.; nieces and nephews; and her religious community.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 26 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Church on the grounds of the motherhouse in Nazareth, Ky. Burial will be in Nazareth Cemetery.

Visitation will be held May 25 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Nazareth Home and after 4 p.m. at St. Vincent Church. A prayer service will be held in the church that evening at 6:30 p.m.
