Sister of Loretto Jane Clark, an educator, dies at 90

RecordLogo-FSister of Loretto Jane Clark, formerly Sister John Dennis, died Nov. 17 at the Loretto Motherhouse infirmary in Nerinx, Ky. She was 90 and in her 68th year of religious life.

Sister Clark, a native of Lebanon, Ky., served as an educator at Loretto Academy in El Paso, Texas, for 40 years, beginning in 1964. She also taught in Missouri, Colorado and New Mexico.

Sister Clark retired to the Loretto Motherhouse infirmary in 2004 and resided there until her death.

She is survived by her sister, Lucy Salot of Louisville, and members of her community.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 26 at the Church of the Seven Doors at the Loretto Motherhouse. Burial was in the Loretto Motherhouse Cemetery.
