Sister Ann Leo Wilson dies in Nazareth, Ky., at 96

Sister of Charity of Nazareth Ann Leo Wilson died Feb. 22 at Carrico Hall in Nazareth, Ky. She was 96 and had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 78 years.

Sister Wilson, a native of Fancy Farm, Ky., ministered in health care and community service in Kentucky and Tennessee for 60 years.

In the Archdiocese of Louisville, Sister Wilson served at Our Lady of Peace Hospital as a kitchen supervisor from 1950 to 1965 and at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital as the dietary department supervisor from 1965 to 1966. She also served at Sister Visitor Center from 1966 to 1967 and at various facilities as an LPN from 1970 to 1980. From 1980 to 2002, Sister Wilson ministered in community service at SCN facilities in Louisville.

Survivors include her brother, Paul Wilson of Fancy Farm, Ky., nieces and nephews and her religious community.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Feb. 25 in St. Vincent Church on the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth campus in Nazareth, Ky. Burial followed in Nazareth Cemetery.
