Sacred Heart Model School Alumni Awards celebration set for Sept. 20

Sacred Heart Model School will host its 2015 Alumni Awards Celebration on Sept. 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ursuline Arts Center, 3114 Lexington Road.

Justin Walker, a graduate of the class of 1996, will receive the Alumnus of the Year Award.

Walker is an assistant professor of law at the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law and the executive director of Global Game Changers Children Education Initiative (GGC), an organization that “offers young students the opportunity to find the compassionate leader within and then learn how to use their power to serve others,” said a press release.

Several other awards will be presented during the event. The Young Alumnus Award will be presented to Emma Brown, a graduate of the class of 1999. Faculty member Tricia Forde will also be honored. The Parent Award will be presented to Angela Becerra and Dr. Rodrigo Moreno.
