Retreat for women religious planned at Maple Mount in July

“Cultivating a Heart of Contentment,” a retreat for women religious, will be presented July 17 to 22 at the Mount St. Joseph Conference and Retreat Center in Maple Mount, Ky., located 15 miles west of Owensboro, Ky., on Highway 56.

Passionist Father Jack Conley will lead the retreat. Father Conley serves at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, directs the Passionist Holy Cross Office of Mission Effectiveness and conducts parish missions and retreats across the country.

The retreat will offer a “ ‘spirituality for tough times’ in the light of Pope Francis’ invitation to ponder God’s tremendous mercy,” an announcement about the retreat said.

Directed, primarily silent retreats will also be offered by Ursuline Sisters Helen O’Brien and Mary Matthias Ward, spiritual directors.

The cost is $450 or, for commuters, $275. To register, contact Kathy McCarty at 270-229-0206 or kathy.mccarty@maplemount.org. For more information, visit www.ursulinesmsj.org and click on Conference & Retreat Center.
