The St. John Center for homeless men will host its 19th annual “Raisin’ the Rent” fundraising event at the Mellwood Art Center, 1860 Mellwood Avenue, Feb. 27, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Television personality Dawne Gee will emcee the event, live music will be provided by “The Remedy” and hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Bristol Catering.
All profits benefit the center, which provides a day shelter for homeless men and helps them move into housing. This year’s fundraising goal is $200,000.
