Pilgrimages to Monte Cassino Shrine in Southern Indiana set for October

RecordLogo-FSt. Meinrad Archabbey will hold pilgrimages in honor of the Blessed Mother at the Monte Cassino Shrine in Southern Indiana on four Sundays in October.

The pilgrimages will begin with an opening hymn and a short sermon, followed by a rosary procession. The services end with the Litany of the Blessed Virgin and a hymn.

The speakers and subjects during the four pilgrimages will be:

Oct. 9 — Benedictine Father Harry Hagan will present “Our Lady of Einsiedeln — the Black Madonna.”
Oct. 16 — Benedictine Brother James Jensen will present “Mary, Woman of Compassion.”
Oct. 23 — Benedictine Father Denis Robinson will present “Mary, Mother of the Home.”
Oct. 30 — Benedictine Father Noël Mueller will present “Our Lady Underground of Chartres Cathedral.”

Services, which begin at 2 p.m. (CDT), are free and open to the public. The Monte Cassino Shrine is located one mile east of St. Meinrad Archabbey on State Road 62 in St. Meinrad, Ind.
