Passionist Father Alfred Pooler dies

Passionist Father Alfred Pooler died Jan. 15 at Nazareth Home. He had been a religious for 61 years and celebrated his 82nd birthday on Jan. 7.

Father Pooler, a native of Seattle, professed Passionist vows in July of 1953 and was ordained a priest in June of 1960.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Jan. 24 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 1920 Newburg Road.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Mater Dolorosa Passionist Retreat Center in Sierra Madre, Ca.
