The Passionist Earth & Spirit Center, 1924 Newburg Road, will offer a free 60-minute introduction to meditation workshop Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. then again on Feb. 1 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The workshop will present the “psychological and spiritual benefits of meditation,” according to a statement from the center. “Mindfulness meditation has been clinically demonstrated to increase relaxation, relieve stress, reduce anxiety and bolster self-esteem.”
