Parishes plan Lenten missions for March

Several parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville are planning Lenten missions next month, including:

  • St. Bartholomew Church, 2042 Buechel Bank Road, will present “Total Transformation” on March 3 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The presenter will be Dr. Nicholas Lebish, founder of Splendor of Truth Ministries. The mission will center on the presenter’s “three-fold path to holiness,” according to an announcement from the parish.
  • Mary Queen of Peace Church, St. Helen Campus, 5005 Dixie Highway, will present “CHRIST IS THE LIGHT!” with Gary Montgomery on March 15, 16 and 17 at 7 p.m.
  • St. Christopher Church in Radcliff, Ky., will present a mission with Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers March 15-17. The presenter is the host of a weekly radio show and a frequent host on EWTN who’s “known around the world as the ‘Dynamic Deacon,’ ” an announcement from the parish said.
    The mission will begin March 15 at 7 p.m. with the topic “Living a Eucharistic Faith: The Big Deal about Mass and Why it Matters.”
    On March 16, it will begin at 6 p.m. on the topic “My Flesh for the Life of the World: The Eucharist and Evangelization.”
    On March 17, the mission begins with Mass at 9 a.m., followed by eucharistic adoration all day and confession from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The mission talk begins at 7 p.m. on “Putting on the Armor of Christ: Practical Aspects of Pro-life Evangelization.”
  • St. Frances of Rome and St. Leonard churches will hold a parish mission at 7 p.m. on March 9 and 10 with Father J. Ronald Knott. Father Knott will speak on March 9 about “Loving Yourself and Letting Your Own Light Shine” at St. Frances of Rome, 2119 Payne St. On March 10, he’ll speak at St. Leonard, 440 Zorn Avenue, on “Loving Your Neighbor and Letting His/Her Light Shine.”
