Parish will offer Theology of the Body program

St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road, has planned two programs for adults on St. John Paul II’s teachings on the human person known as the theology of the body.

“Theology of the Body I: Introduction to Theology of the Body,” will be offered in a series of four Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Sept. 11, 18 and 25 and Oct. 2. The program “will teach us about creation, and the meaning and purpose of every human person,” according to an announcement from the parish.

Those who have attended the introductory program in the past, may register for “Theology of the Body II: Into the Heart.” It will be offered in an eight-week series beginning Aug. 26 and ending Oct. 28. Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Both programs will be presented through a DVD series hosted by author Christopher West.

To register or for more information, contact the parish’s pastoral associate for lifelong formation, Cathy Blandford, at 937-5920, ext. 17, or cblandford@saintpeterapostle.org. Information also is available at spaff.org.
