Parish in Fredericktown, Ky., to explore Divine Mercy devotion

Holy Trinity Church in Fredericktown, Ky., will host a program on the Divine Mercy devotion on Feb. 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Joan and Dave Maroney of Divine Mercy for America, will give a multimedia presentation on how Divine Mercy “can transform our country,” an announcement from Holy Trinity said.

The couple will “lay out a plan that starts with nurturing personal holiness then moves to prayers for our country, cultivating the fruits of the devotion, and sharing this good news,” the announcement said. “This event, similar to a parish mission, will be a great way to engage the Lenten season and the Year of Mercy called for by Pope Francis.”

The program will also include an opportunity for eucharistic adoration and confession.
