Our Lady of Lourdes parish to host ‘Foundations of Our Faith’ program

Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 508 Breckenridge Lane will host a four-day series of programs called “Foundations of Our Faith,” presented by John Cornwell, beginning Sept. 10.

The four programs will be presented from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Adult Center, and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Library. The first session will examine the history and political dynamics of the Palestine area in which Jesus lived.

The second meeting in the series will be held Sept. 17 and its topic will be the “background and higher Christology of John’s Gospel.” The Sept. 24 meeting will take a “critical look at the Acts of the Apostles and the Epistles,” according to a news release from the church. And the final meeting will be Oct. 1 and its topic will be the “formation of Christianity as a formal religion.”

Registration is requested and can be accomplished by calling 896-0241.
