Nine men and women make commitments as SCN Associates

Nine men and women recently made a first commitment of two years as Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Associates (SCNAs).

According to a news release from the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, associates “bear witness to their baptismal promises and to the charism” of the SCNs as they go about their lives. They are called to be present “to those the encounter in the workplace and the marketplace” and to minister within their churches, to be mindful of justice issues and  to pray for the concerns of the SCNs and their associates, the release said.

The new associates are: Sharon Baldini of Louisville; Anne Beavan of Fort Collins, Col.; Peggy Downs of Lebanon, Ky.; Mary Ann Finotti of Pittsburgh; Elizabeth Anne Hamilton and Joseph Hamilton of Nazareth, Ky.; Marci Heil of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; Steve Newton of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; and Joani Sirek of Bardstown, Ky.
