Holy Spirit Church will present “In the Beginning,” a musical revue featuring music from some of Broadway’s best Bible story musicals. The production at Holy Spirit will be directed by Emily Edwards Fields and will be open to all Catholic youths ages 6 to 20,
Auditions and sign-ups will be held May 28 at 7 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 3345 Lexington Road. Attendees are asked to enter on the west side of the building through the rotunda. Those auditioning should prepare a short song (one minute or less, and bring sheet music.)
Children under age 10 do not need to audition, just sign up during the May 28 registration and auditioning period.
Rehearsals will begin in June and will be held each Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on every night during the week of the show. Participants must be available to attend all rehearsals the week of the performance and can miss no more than four rehearsals throughout the rehearsal process.
The performance will be at 8 p.m. August 9 at Holy Spirit Church.
