Mercy, Merton and Pope Francis will be focus of retreat and presentation

Christopher Pramuk, who teaches theology and spirituality at Xavier University in Cincinnati, will speak about mercy at two events in late February. “In Everything Mercy: Thomas Merton & Pope Francis on the Merciful Heart of God,” is the subject of both programs.

On Feb. 26 at 7 p.m., Pramuk will speak at Holy Family Church, 3926 Poplar Level Road. This presentation is free and open to the public.

Pramuk will also lead a retreat on Feb. 27 in the Our Lady of the Woods Chapel on the campus of Bellarmine University, 2001 Newburg Road. Registration, due by Feb. 19, is $20 and includes refreshments and a light lunch.
