Louisville Chorus will hold Diamond Jubilee Concert

The Louisville Chorus will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a Diamond Jubilee Concert on May 18.

The concert will be held at 4 p.m. at St. Boniface Church, 531 E. Liberty St., according to a news release from the Louisville Chorus. Daniel Spurlock will direct the concert which will feature a performance of Brahams’ “Ein deutsches Requiem.”

The soloists will be Mary and Alexander Redden and additional music will be provided by Louisville Philharmonia — The Musicians’ Orchestra.

Other works to be performed during the concert will be Dvorak’s “Song to the Moon,” from “Rusalka;” Mahler’s Fourth “Das Himmilische Leben,” featuring Darlene Welch, soprano.

Tickets are $20 for general admission; $15 for senior adults; and $5 for students.
