Kindergarten Countdown events will be held

Kindergarten Countdown, a series of events for students entering kindergarten, will be hosted at various locations in Louisville throughout the year.

Children entering kindergarten will receive a free T-shirt, which will serve as a ticket into events for the child and an accompanying adult.

The next events are:

April 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Louisville Free Public Library, Iroquois Branch, 601 W. Woodlawn Avenue, for a family storytime focusing on kindergarten readiness skills.

April 27 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kentucky Science Center, 727 W. Main St., for a play date where preschoolers will be “free to investigate, build, experience and share,” according to a press release.
