Information session on diaconate will be held Sept. 14

An information session about the Archdiocese of Louisville’s diaconate program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 14 at the Maloney Center, 1200 S. Shelby St.

The session is intended to provide information to members of the Hispanic community, but anyone interested in becoming a deacon in the archdiocese is welcomed to attend, according to Deacon Patrick Wright, director of the Diaconate Office.

The program, Deacon Wright explained, will provide an opportunity to learn more about the diaconate and answer any questions. There will be two deacons in attendance, along with their spouses, who will share their experiences with those attending the information session.

Also, a video on the involvement of wives in the diaconate program will be shown, Deacon Wright said.

For information, call the Office of Multicultural Ministry at 636-0296, ext. 1220, or the Diaconate Office at 636-0296.
