Information about immigration policy to be presented Oct. 2 at Holy Name

An immigration attorney from the Russell Immigration Law Firm will present information about the “deferred action for childhood arrivals” policy at Holy Name Church, 2914 S. Third St., on Oct. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

New federal policy allows certain young undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children to apply for work authorization and to have action against them deferred for two years.

The information session will be presented by Rachael Mendosa-Nelson. It is free and open to the public. The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth’s new “Doors to Hope” ministry is sponsoring the event. For more information, call Sister Rebecca Miles at 693-1880.
