Father Joseph H. Voor receives Distinguished Service Award

RecordLogo-FFather Joseph H. Voor, a priest in the Archdiocese of Louisville, was honored with the Msgr. Alfred F. Horrigan Distinguished Service Award at the Bellarmine University Alumni Awards Dinner Dec. 3.

Father Voor, the senior associate pastor at St. Brigid Church and St. James Church in Louisville, Ky., served as the first professor of psychology and chair of the psychology department at Bellarmine University from 1956-1975 according to a statement on the university’s website. During his time at Bellarmine, Father Voor also served as director of the guidance office, director of housing and prefect to the residence halls.

The Msgr. Alfred F. Horrigan Distinguished Service Award was instituted in 1978. “It is given to recognize an individual who, as a member of the university faculty, staff or administration, has made a significant contribution to Bellarmine University,” according to information on the university’s website.
