Epiphany organizes September bus trip to commemorate civil rights struggle

Epiphany Church is sponsoring a motor coach trip to Birmingham, Ala., to attend the “50th anniversary of Civil Rights in Birmingham” celebration Sept. 12 to 15. The trip will commemorate the struggle for civil rights that occurred in Birmingham in 1963.

The trip will include tours of the city of Birmingham, of the Civil Rights Institute, 16th Street Baptist Church, Kelly Ingram Park and the program “50 Scholars Speak the Truth on the 50th.”

The cost of the trip is $270 per person, double occupancy, and includes three nights at Springhill Suites in downtown Birmingham. A deposit of $50 is due with registration.
