The Passionist Earth & Spirit Center has two new workshops in cosmology planned. The first will be July 9 to 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. Called “Embrace the Life We are Given,” this workshop addresses the shift people are experiencing in understanding the world, the opportunities it presents and the implications for people of faith.
The other workshop, called “Reflecting on the Earth as a Sacred Community,” will explore how people can make a transition from a period of causing devastation on the Earth to a time when humans celebrate the sacredness of creation. It will be held July 16-20 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Passionist Father Joe Mitchell will be the instructor and classes will be held in the Barn behind the Passionist Monastery at 1924 Newburg Road. The suggested donation is $75, but no one will be refused for lack of funds. For more information, call 452-2749 or email info@earthandspiritcenter.org.
