Director of JustFaith will present Lenten program

Joe Grant, director of programs for JustFaith Ministries, will offer reflections from his new book, “Still in the Storm: Reflections for Engaging Spirituality in Times Like These” during a Lenten program on March 21.

The program, “Still in the Storm: A Lenten Reflection,” will be presented at the Passionist Earth and Spirit Center, 1920 Newburg Road (behind St. Agnes Church), from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided at 12:30 p.m.

Grant’s book was published by JustFaith Ministries, a Louisville-based organization that provides programs and training for social ministry across the United States.

In the book, Grant offers Scripture passages, quotations, probing questions and practical suggestions to help readers deepen their prayer lives and small-group discussions, an announcement from JustFaith said.

The book explores a variety of subjects, including prayer, humility, rest, gratitude, mercy and peace.

Grant, who also wrote JustFaith Ministries’ “Engaging Spirituality” process, notes in the book’s preface that the reflections therein are an “outgrowth” of “Engaging Spirituality.”

“The questions and reflections you will encounter here are offered to individuals or groups seeking to live authentically in these tremendous and trying times,” Grant writes in the preface. “Be aware, these reflections are best suited to the seasoned, care-worn soul.”

To attend the March 21 program, contact Althea Dryden at 429-0865 ext. 224 or althea@justfaith.org. There is a suggested donation of $10.

Grant’s book is also available for $20 at justfaith.org. Proceeds will support the work of JustFaith.
