Conference on Human Formation for ministry scheduled in 2018

The second biennial Conference on Human Formation has been scheduled for April 15-18, 2018, at St. Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad, Ind.

The conference is co-sponsored by the St. Luke Institute and St. Meinrad Archabbey and its Seminary and School of Theology.

The conference will focus on “intercultural competencies for human formation, sharing new strategies for evaluating, forming and acculturating international candidates, clergy and religious for ministry in the United States,” a news release from St. Meinrad said.

Among the workshop topics will be: culture vs. personality, cultural intelligence, freedom of discernment, language considerations, interpersonal boundaries and psychosexual issues, styles of pastoral authority, and lessons learned by diocesan and religious personnel.
