Community Catholic Center names education director

The Community Catholic Center has named Ursuline Sister Barbara Bir to be its education director.

The center provides educational tutoring and assistance to children in the Portland and West Louisville neighborhoods. Sister Bir has previously served as the not-for-profit CCC’s director, and according to a news release from the center, oversaw its growth from 18 students to its current enrollment of 49 students.

Students who receive tutoring and other assistance at the center attend Notre Dame Academy, Holy Cross, DeSales and Trinity high schools in Louisville, and St. Anthony School, St. Mary Academy and Providence High School in Southern Indiana.
