Catholic students win art awards

Numerous students who attend schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville have been selected as Scholastic Art Award recipients in the Regional Scholastic Art and writing Awards contest.

Sacred Heart Academy — Gold key winners were: Carson Ann Adams, Isabella Cissell, Lillie Neltner, Caroline Scalzo and Courtney Smith. Caroline Keown won a silver key.

Assumption High School — Gold key winners: Emme Metry and Abby Spalding. Silver key winners are: Abby Spalding, Reagan Fisher, Emily Porter, Olivia Grass, Elizabeth Donahue and Alli Revers.

Works of art selected for gold keys are automatically entered into the national competition and are on display at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, 715 W. Main St. Silver key works of art are on display at Gheens Academy, 4425 Preston Highway.

The Scholastic Art Awards program is a national art competition for students in grades seven through high school.
