Bellarmine University honored for service

Bellarmine-logo-wBellarmine University has earned a spot on the Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for volunteering, civic engagement and community service activities performed in 2014.

The Corporation for National and Community Service in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education and several other organizations recognize colleges and universities each year. According to a press release, this is the fourth year that the school has been recognized.

“Bellarmine averages 24,000 hours of service work each year, including service abroad in places such as Belize and Guatemala,” said a statement from the school.

Bellarmine has also won the honor roll award in previous years for interfaith community service, economic opportunity and education community service.
