More than 600 high school football players from DeSales High School, Holy Cross High School, St. Xavier High School, Trinity High School and Our Lady of Providence High School in Clarksville, Ind., gathered at Holy Family Church, 3926 Poplar Level Rd., July 26 to pray the rosary at a service sponsored by SportsLeader, an international organization that connects the Catholic based and athletics. SportsLeader is based in Louisville.

Prior to the rosary, Father Shayne Duvall, associate vocation director of the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Vocation Office and pastor of St. Raphael Church, told the young athletes gathered that “you are not the future of the church. You are the church today.”
