Annual Walk for Life takes place downtown

A group of more than 100 people, including youth, families and priests from the Archdiocese of Louisville, bundled themselves against the cold and took part in the annual Walk for Life in downtown Louisville the evening of Jan. 19. The group made five stops to pray for an end to abortion, for the protection of conscience rights in health care, for the thousands of children in the foster care system, for workers’ rights and an end to the death penalty. The Walk for Life is in solidarity with the March for Life which drew hundreds of thousands today in Washington, D.C. The March for Life commemorates the Roe v Wade decision which legalized abortion in the U.S. 45 years ago. (Record Photos by Ruby Thomas)
