Annual African American Catholic Leadership banquet to be March 2

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s annual African American Catholic Leadership Awards banquet will be held March 2 at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Seelbach Hotel, 500 S. Fourth St.

Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for African American Catholic youth. Young people will be honored during the banquet and the Rodriq McCravy youth awards will be presented.

The banquet also will honor African Americans who have made significant contributions to the community. The Genevieve Boone Award and the Acacia Award also will be presented.

The event will open at 5 p.m. with a silent auction. Registration is due by Feb. 17 and tickets are $50. Checks may be made payable to the Office of Multicultural Ministry, 1200 S. Shelby St., Louisville, Ky., 40203.
